Buon appetite!
Everyone is saying “stay home.” That is not easy when you have active children who wants to be outdoors all the time. I am sending you a fun cooking activity to do with your child to keep them occupied.
There is much to learn during a cooking lesson, math when measuring ingredients, science when watching thing change their form e.g. wet dough becomes crispy after baking, lots of language and of course, the emotional bonding between you and your child is the most important of all.
Today I am sharing a “SUPER EASY PIZZA” recipe:
| Ingredients:
· 8oz (225g) / 1 cup Self raising white flour · pinch of salt · 1 tsp baking powder · 40g (1.5ozs) quarter of a cup cold butter · 150ml (5 fl oz) half a cup skimmed milk |

Method:
Homemade Pizza Sauce
While your base is blind baking you can make a simple homemade tomato sauce by frying some finely chopped onions, a clove of crushed garlic and mixed herbs in a little olive oil. Once softened pour in a bottle or can of crushed tomatoes and a pinch of salt, sugar and oregano. Cook over a medium heat until the sauce thickens.
If you are trying to sneak some more vegetables into the kids, you can also add finely diced carrot, bell peppers and zucchini along with the onions and once your sauce has thickened, blend with a hand held blender
Take a picture of yourself and your child with the pizza you made for a chance to win a prize.
