Glossary of Program Term
Vietnam MOET Program (VMP) follows the pathway and curriculum prescribed by MOET.
Cambridge English Certificate is based on authentic situations and tests all four skills – speaking, writing, reading and listening – helping students to develop the skills they need inside and outside the classroom.
Cambridge IGCSEs are subject-based qualifications, usually taken over a two-year period and assessment takes place at the end of the course. The assessment was created specifically for international students avoiding cultural bias, and the syllabuses and exam question papers are culturally sensitive.
Grade Level has been structured to match Vietnam’s MOET system so that a student can easily transfer from MGIS’s International Integrated Program to Vietnam’s standard MOET program.
International Integrated Program (IIP) is a blend of VMP and international standards. It places higher emphasis on the learning of English by using English as the medium of instruction of other core subjects. Students who leave the IIP to join the Vietnam MOET system at Grade 5 will be more proficient in English than those who started on the VMP.
iPSLE stands for International Primary School Leaving Examination. It is an international version of the Singapore’s PSLE. The aim of iPSLE is to provide a benchmarking system for international schools which are interested to benchmark themselves against Singapore’s standard.
Nursery to Kindergarten is an early childhood education program which focuses on the total development of the child to ensure a healthy learning attitude for life. It is a dual immersion program which includes a phonics and reading program.
